The house lies in the village of Pera which is on the road that stretches the length of the Algarve.
Visitors to Jardins de Perâ have numerous sandy beaches to choose from the nearest being Praia Grande is approximately 3 kms. away. The most well known is Gale, a long sandy beach stretching for 5 km along the coast and offering water sports and selection of superb beach bars / fish restaurants. Smaller cove beaches include Sao Rafael with its amazing rocks free standing in the sand, and Castello, home to some odd shaped cliffs, grottoes and blow holes.
This long sandy coastline from Armação de Pera to Gale is just as popular for walkers with the Lagoa dos Salgados estuary, a haven for wildlife and a popular destination for flamingos.

The village of Perâ is a typical Portuguese community with all amenities such as a bank, pharmacy, selection of cafes
and snack bars, 3 restaurants and a village market hall 500 metres away where you can buy
fresh fish and vegetables. There are 4 mini markets, selling freshly baked bread, produce and wine.

The nearest golf course is Salgados The 6,000 metre links course, complete with water obstacles, is not very long, yet you will need all your skills to reach the greens.
The accuracy of the drive is crucial for achieving good scores, therefore making the course a pleasant experience, especially for technically-skilled players. The eighteen holes are well balanced, as each half of the course has two Par 5 holes of around 500 metres and three Par 3 of more than 170 metres. Par for the course is 72.This is just one of the many accessible courses along the Algarve. With easy access to the A22 and the E125 all major courses can be enjoyed during your stay.
